Tamara & Chris sentenced. The Message is Clear: Dissent is Now a Crime.

Tamara Lich and Chris Barber got 12 months of house arrest today for “mischief.” Not violence. Not property damage. Mischief.
Peaceful Canadians—criminalised for daring to speak out. The same justice system that drops charges for real crimes and lets violent offenders walk free spent three years trying to break two people who stood for freedom.
The Crown had outrageously demanded seven years in jail to make an example out of them.
Why?
To warn you.
To scare anyone who might ever peacefully defy the state again.
Even the judge admitted Chris Barber “came with the noblest of intent” and never called for violence.
But it didn’t matter. They needed bogeymen.
We remember all the others:
Maxime Bernier was handcuffed in Manitoba for speaking at a peaceful rally.
Mark Friesen was fined thousands for organizing gatherings.
Randy Hillier saw convoy charges stayed after years of harassment.
Todd Dube was repeatedly fined and smeared for refusing to comply.
Tamara Lavoie was fined over $10,000 for rallying against lockdowns.
Adam Skelly, Pat King, Chris Sky, and countless others also lost their jobs, their livelihoods, and even the right to see loved ones — then were charged, fined, and silenced for refusing to bow to political tyranny.
This is the new pretext to silence dissent — the same pattern we see in Bill C-8 (revoking internet access for “specified persons”) and Bill C-9, which would let bureaucrats decide which emotions are “hateful.”
The Conservatives aren’t fighting this. Pierre Poilievre talks about “freedom” when it’s convenient — but during COVID, he hid while Canadians were losing jobs, businesses, and basic rights. He only found his courage when it was safe, after his party had dumped O’Toole, when the cameras were rolling.
The PPC stood with the Convoy from day one.
We’ve stood with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms (JCCF), who continue to defend peaceful Canadians targeted by their own government.
Now we need you to stand with us.
Every time you give, you strike a blow against censorship and cowardice.
For freedom — always,
Nathan McMillan, Executive Director, People’s Party of Canada
P.S.: This verdict isn’t justice. It’s intimidation. And the only answer to intimidation is courage. Be part of it — support both the legal fight and the political one today!
